At this scale, effective operations require more than shared subscriptions: they require centralized governance and advanced permissioning over how translation capacity is accessed and consumed.

The Organization Admin Role introduces a new Enterprise-grade administration layer in Smartcat, designed to give organizations structured, organization-level control without disrupting day-to-day workspace workflows.

With the Organization Admin Role, Smartcat introduces a dedicated role that enables centralized management of translation consumption and shared subscription access across all workspaces within a single organization.

Once enabled by Smartcat and assigned to designated users, Organization Admins can:

• View translation consumption at the organization level

• Allocate or reclaim translation capacity across workspaces

• Allow workspaces to consume from a shared organization-level pool

• View subscription plan details, including limits and terms

• Pause or resume shared subscription access for existing workspaces

Allow new workspaces to inherit shared subscription benefits

All actions are fully permissioned and scoped to a single organization, ensuring governance without compromising operational independence at the workspace level.

The Organization Admin Role is built specifically for Enterprise customers with complex organizational structures and evolving needs. It establishes the foundation for more advanced administration models, including future multi-organization and reseller workflows.

This approach allows Smartcat to support enterprise-scale operations while maintaining clear boundaries between organizations, workspaces, and users.

The Organization Admin Role is available for Enterprise-level customers and must be enabled by a Smartcat Account Manager.
