I am an English-Spanish/Italian-Spanish General Translator and a TESOL Certificate Teacher (Teaching of English to Speakers of Other Languages) with more than 25 years of experience in both fields. I have worked all these years as a freelance translator and as an English teacher for several language schools, as well as teaching private lessons. I also worked as a subtitler for a few years at HBO Latin America Group. I use CAT tools and subtitling applications, double check all my work and pay attention to details, style, grammar and context. I am accurate, reliable and always available to meet the client's needs.

I’m a native Spanish speaker translator with fluency in German, Italian and English. I like to help my clients to overcome any language barrier they may find. About me Growing up bilingual When I was 10-years-old, my family moved from Spain to Colorado, USA. I attended middle school there and all of my friends were American. After just 9 months no one could believe I was not born American. Learning a language this way is the most effective and efficient way to learn it. As a child, you just simply take everything in and while learning a new language, you are also learning a new culture and way of thinking. At age 13 I moved back to Spain. I was then able to cement my Spanish cultural roots. Then, when I was 15-years-old, we moved again, this time to Portugal. Here I was able to learn Portuguese at still an early age. After obtaining two University Degrees, in Law and Business Administration, and an MBA in International Business Management, I worked for several years as a lawyer, external auditor in PwC, financial controller and cost manager in several countries around the world. Throughout this time, I also worked as a freelance translator and reviser for a Law Firm for over 8 years. It then became clear to me that I was meant to be a translator and now I work as a full-time translator and reviser.

Since completing my MA in Translation in 2010, I have worked as a professional translator, transcreator, editor, final eye, QA specialist and MT post-editor of English into Spanish (Castilian) for international marketing, health and hospitality companies, as well as global agencies specialised in communication, advertising and e-commerce. I am also a confident lead editor with extensive experience successfully leading large teams of editors in order to ensure a spotless final copy: from creating the brief and training the team to nailing the ToV and polishing the texts pre-delivery during QA.

I am a translator based in Guatemala and have over seven years of experience translating a variety of documents. I am certified to translate legal documents. Apart from working as a freelance translator, I have also worked as a translator and interpreter for an NGO. More recently, I have specialized in translating news articles from English into Spanish for a major news organization, including proofreading and editing articles.
